MUSIC AND SOCIAL REALITY "Two Seas", OT 2006 - Song lyrics
.
lost time travelers crossing the waters dreams Sailing
wounded, the bow of a boat
Seeking the ghost of plowing new land, distant lands, dark nights are uncertain
cold, body and soul
There are almost endless deserts covered with blankets
Tired of the cruel suffering that never ends
men are thirsty for a bit of shelter, hunger and fear are silent witnesses denied
Like birds to flight not have wings. Two
open seas, two dark seas
Landscapes uncertain, Caminos
hard outside and deserts, deep chasms
blood and fire in the sun
Two seas of sorrow, seas of glory
two centuries of war history bathed
broken lives without Instead, they do not stop coming
of different worlds. There
anger or tears cure penalties worth
No storms across the sky to discourage water
Closing his eyes away from the beach of loves lost in the dawn
fleeing people and empty body own anything
There are souls who come into the world in golden cradles
Immersed in deep seas, deep love of light and hope born
A in beds of ivy and live in beds of ivy nailed
are souls who cross every morning
Two deep open seas, two dark seas
Landscapes uncertain, Caminos
hard outside and deserts, deep chasms
blood and fire in the sun
Two Seas penalties, two seas of glory
bathed century of war Lives torn
history without that do not stop coming from different worlds

social and political reality.
"Two Seas" is a song that pays clear homage to those who are forced to leave their homelands, primarily, either from the other side of the Mediterranean or Atlantic, with the hope of finding a better life our country. However, when we talk about or discuss the phenomenon of immigration, if any, of migration do not always have in mind the suffering, fears and, ultimately, the loss of every individual as an entity. Therefore, in this essay, I intend to develop my own vision, from my experience and readings, the phenomenon of immigration. In short, I intend to do a story trying to make a sort of virtual travel and experience the phenomenon of immigration and developing my own vision of fenómeno.La lyrics of this song brings us closer to the reality of immigrants and seeks to highlight the ups and downs of these people in their process of adaptation, integration of the new adopting and what left behind. In this sense, within the migration phenomenon, not only have situations of migration motivated by economic precariousness of living conditions, but also the circumstances of people who have to leave the territory inhabited by violence, war or persecuciones.En all these cases, the problems inherent in the migration process the conditions of displacement (boats, canoes, etc..) insecurity at the time of arrival at their destinations or rejection found in the destination country also adds significant extra loss of ties to the land and with the people who saw them crecer.En many times before departure, it seems that the immigrant will often idealize or romanticize his fate, but, upon arrival, all is not as imagined or had told him. Found, often with difficult living conditions, problems finding work, problems of adjustment, housing, language, external pressures, adjustment difficulties, rejection, exclusion, etc. For So all this makes the acceptance of the new situation and integration because of the distancing of their country of origin. Then, after the first moments of novelty, noting the reality of the host country, I guess, nostalgia appears, generally, I suppose, accompanied by sadness, crying, etc.Finalmente, you can find two different ways. If circumstances are favorable reception, that is found basically a social and professional integration, the nostalgia for the lost is lower due to the pursuit of achieving goals. Thus, the individual is master of his liberty and able to control their destiny. However, when prolonged uncertainties insecurity emerges more alive weakening the project to settle in a land that is completely foreign. Perhaps the project's return is more present and the daily suffering it must be made more unbearable. Posted by Victor
